An american family's life en francais

About French or Faux

French or Faux is a travel and lifestyle blog that documents the adventures of our American family's move to France. Come here for posts about life in France, European travel, and the expat experience.

What does French or Faux mean? The idea began when we were just a family of three Francophiles living in Richmond, Virginia, always dreaming of our next trip to France. Not quite ready to move abroad, we tried our best to live a French-inspired lifestyle in the U.S. We liked to joke that we were faking French.

Now that we've taken the leap and moved to Bordeaux, France, we're doing our best to learn French and integrate into this new culture. We're still faking French, but from the other side.
